Table Soccer Association of Canada

All things Canada Foos

Hello,
My name's Derek. I'm from Markham, Ontario and I'm new to TSAC. I have a few questions concerning the league and its events.

First, how do I enlist myself into part of the Canadia team to play national events? Is there a type of ranking system or league I need to join pre-TSAC? If so, can you re-direct me to the site and/or possible locations where the system leagues are run around the Toronto/Markham area? I've asked OTSA about a slow ball/passing tournament and they replied that they might be starting one in the new year. And also, are yo uaware of any places that might hold a tornado table (bars, lounge's, pubs, etc.) around the Toronto/Markham area? I've looked for them, but have failed to find any.

Thanks much,
Derek.

Q: how do I enlist myself into part of the Canadia team to play national events?
A: pay attention to these message boards, and we what qualifying tournament / criteria are to be used a few months before the event. It's not the same every year. We try to announce a tournament that is to be used to qualify for the national team.

There is no ranking system right now, but this is something i'd like to see us improve upon next year. It's just a matter of getting everyone on board, and making the ranking system worthwhile and meaningful.

TSAC does not have a league, it's the government body of table soccer for Canada for ITSF related matters.

As far as I understand, Tornado in that area is limited to people's house's, but Mario A on here could correct me if i'm wrong. You can also contact your TSAC regional representative - which is Sean Lee - he's known just as Sean on here: He can be contacted at:

fabi tables are not used in ITSF (Internation Table Soccer Federation)

Tech ball, Euro Garlando, Bonzini, Tornado, Roberto sport

They are all professional models. There is no sponsorship as of right now there is a lot of things that need to be done till then. We are trying to get some Warrior tables in from the USA they play like a Tornado but better in my eyes they run about $700 plus $250 for shipping and custums. Its an amazing table I would highly recommend it. There is a $500 thousand dollar tour coming out next year you might want to get the practice in before you start on the tour. Cause once you start its going to be hard to stop these tournaments are just way to fun and there only a drive away.

hahahaha mario, u said warrior plays better than tornado but u weren't even there at he ottawa tournament to try them:P

just kiding... i wanted to congratulate you and all the canadians who kicked some ass at the west coast super doubles!!! nice job

IMO, warrior makes me do very easily lots of passage shots...1-2's etc. (like i used to do in garlando rwb) plus add some veru goos snakes and pulls... (control of the ball) plus add some crazy BANKS!!!! the only thing that bugs me, is when i practice my 5-bar! any1 have any advice? maybe i should use a ball similar to the old wite garlandos, i have 1 which is bigger than the garlando ones... almost the same size as the yellow warrior balls. Maybe should i try playing with tornado balls? or the garlando B-ball? any suggestions?

All the ball are different? shouldnt garlando ball and fabi ball are the same? can anyone tell me the different between Tornado Cyclone ll , Tornado Whirl wind and the warrior table?

and also storm ll? what is the counter balance on the rods?

Im not a fan of the whirl wind or the storm II. The tables are made perty cheap if you ask me still better than a lot of tables out there just a proffessional oppionion. Its all what you want from table soccer if your looking to becoming the best i wouldnt recommend any of them even the cyclone II.

I would go with the Warrior table. its a great table and you will learn extremely quickly on it. The control is amazing which will allow you to focus on your mechanics.

counter balance means that the rods can stay up with out you holding them up. The counter balance allows you to shoot from the 2 row with out having to hold your 5 bar and 3 bar up. The only table that doesnt have the counter balance I believe is the storm II and the Whirl wind if im not mistaken. The Weight of the table is the real problem with these tables.

All these tables are great if your just playing for fun. It all depends were you want to take it. Hope this helps.

thank Mario A for the the help. Well I do want to become a pro and enter those big tournaments.

Are warrior table being used in the international tournaments? By any chance anyone know where to get a warrior table in Toronto ?

Sorry for the trouble
You can get it on Warrior table soccer dot com. You would have to pay for the shipping and handling on it plus duty. I think that should run you about 300 and the table is i think 600. go on the website and check it out i think if you buy it before the 16 its 400.

Are warrior table being used in the international tournaments?

They are played on in the USA and that is were the money is hopefully going to be as of right now its the only real tour in North America. 500 thousand dollar tour in 2009.
thank for the help
