The TSAC Exec needs to elect our President and VP for this term, which ends Oct 1, 2010

According to our constitution:

6.1.9 At the start of each election year, after a new elected body is formed, the elected body must vote on who will hold the position of President, and Vice-President.
6.1.10 In order to name a President and Vice-President, a nominations period will begin for a period of 1 week at the start of the election year. Interested parties must declare their intention to act as President or Vice-President on the online message board.
6.1.11 After the nominations week has finished, if there is more than 1 interested party for either President or Vice-President, an election must be held for these positions, with the executives emailing a third party their votes.
6.1.12 In case of a tie for the President or Vice-President position, the election is repeated until there is one clear winner

So we'll start the period of nominations now, this will last 1 week, where TSAC Executive board members have the opportunity to declare their intention to run for one of those positions by responding to this message.

Nomincations will end Friday, Feb 20th, at 11:59pm PST.

for clarity sake, here's the current TSAC Executive that can run for either of these positions:
Eric Dunn, Tornado, BC
Will Stranks, Tornado, AB
Jeff Tung, Tornado, ON
Todd Williams, FABI (Bonzini), ON
Michael Tremblay: Bonzini, Quebec & Maritimes
Jose Leite: Garlando, Quebec & Maritimes
Julien Beaumier-Ethier: Tornado, Quebec & Maritimes

Just posting my intent:

I wish to run for President.

(but honestly if someone else would really like to do it, and the rest of the exec had no problem with it, i'd step aside and let someone else have a turn)

I'll throw the next few sections up as well for reference (mainly my own ;)). It would be good to have a direct link or panel with the constitution on the front page, the search function in the forums isn't great.

6.2 The President
6.2.1 Although the president has been elected from a region, the President of T.S.A.C. should always act as region neutral as possible.
6.2.2 The role of the President is to moderate discussion, allowing for all points of view to be fairly given.
6.2.3 The President does not vote on day-to-day decisions, but takes a more moderator role, always representing what is best for all T.S.A.C. members.
6.2.4 Since the President does not vote, when the President is first named, they must choose a delegate that will vote in the President’s stead in all T.S.A.C. votes.
6.3 The Vice-President
6.3.1 If the President is unable to perform their duties at any time, the Vice-President is expected to act as President, until either the President is able to return, or until the end of the election year. Another Vice-President must be elected from the elected body for the remainder of the year.

I would like to run for vp.

I think you're the only one who can really do that job Eric, so I'm glad that you still want to be in charge.
For my part, I'm wondering if I still want to be a Bonzini representative. That company is a shame and I'm not sure I like being associated to them. I don't know if you get some support from Tornado on your side, but here in Québec it's getting ridiculous.

Is Alain Thunier still the Bonzini rep/distributer in Quebec?

Yes, Thunier is still the rep. But I gave up a long time ago on his case. Actually, I've been trying to deal directly with Bonzini in France but the owner has absolutely no vision and he is not cooperative at all.

If you're at the point of dealing directly with the parent company, you may want to try getting some input/cooperation with Alan Cribbs at Bonzini USA. I believe there are issues related to territory (He is able to sell to Ontario but I think Quebec is under Generation Babyfoot jurisdiction) and he works pretty local but it might be worth a shot.

The AQBB has a very good relationship with Alan Cribbs, We already tried to deal with Alan but he has thes territory issues with Thunier. I have some ideas in mind in order to bypass that issue. I did not know he could sell to Ontario. That's pretty encouraging. I will get in touch with him again for sure.

um lets try to stay on topic k. . if you like start another discussion thread.

and Michael, you're here to represent the Bonzini players in your region, not the Company - and no we get nothing different from Tornado. Other than balls that vary from marbles, to fuzzy socks, and major table changes just weeks before a major event - but that discussion belongs (and already exists) in a different thread.

Hey Eric

Relax a bit would ya. lol Any discussion is good discussion. Especially about table manufactures. You know how hard it is to deal with these people. Alan is definitly a stand up guy and a person who you should definitly talk to about bonzini.

So lets stay on topic.

I just want to say as TSAC executives you guys dont have to do everything yourself. If you dont ask no one will help, Try and get some friends to help out. I know Time constraints are the worst, that is the reason why i am not able to help out as much as i can. If your able to get a good team together the possibilities are endless.

I will stop there but we should start a league thread. See what ideas we can put together.
