I've created a couple of other ning sites (vancouverfoos.ning.com and calgaryfoos.ning.com) and added rss feeds from their activities.

But then i tried out adding a group to this ning site, and it appears to give an easier set of functationality that we (or maybe just me) want - but a bit more limited (they just get a forum, a text box, and a nice group box - where i can put a link to the read assocation web site).

So we'll see how it goes.

the ning developer site seems to say that ning is setup to allow developers to add their own content to a ning site. so its possible i could port the old ranking system code to ning, as it was written in php (and ning seems to support that).

But (alas) that a bunch of work i'm honestly too lazy to do right now. If someone else is interested in this, that would be cool. but for now. i'm just full of ideas, and blabbering - so i'll stop.
